About this vacation property in Paris, Ile-de-France

You’ll find all the essential elements of a Parisian apartment here – the 19th century building with marble entryand winding staircase. Inside, the foyer opens to a large salon, and gorgeous hardwood floors mesh withdecorative molding on the ceilings to create that perfect mood for a French vacation. Classic describes this
apartment perfectly, but classic doesn’t have to mean uncomfortable. Need an elevator to get to the fourth floor of an old brick building in the courtyard, but it also features stainless steel appliances. The high-quality furnishings are new and were carefully chosen with comfort in mind, a welcome relief after a tiring day walking around the city. The best part is waiting down the hall, where you will find two bedrooms that can only be described as enormous when compared to most Parisian apartments.

Even better, the master bedroom closet features enough storage for several suitcases worth of clothing. There is even a closet in the second bedroom. This apartment wraps around the building to offer several different views and is perfectly situated for people-watching down the streets below. But it’s also tucked away from the neighborhood’s main boulevard. Start your French vacation in classic style. Just don’t worry about missing your favorite things from home.

    About the area of Paris

Within a 10-minute walk, discover the wine and cheese shops, restaurants and market atmosphere of rue des Martyrs, a fabulous shopping street described in a 2005 New York Times article as "a slice of village life" that will "satisfy that perennial desire for discovery." If you would rather walk to the north, the same amount of time will take you to the foot of Montmartre, the village known for the legendary artists who once called it home, and tiny, picturesque streets that transport visitors imaginations to Paris' rich past. It’s always a treat to wander around, visiting Sacre Coeur cathedral and the two remaining windmills perched up high on the hill. If you're a Foodie, don't miss the weekly market on Friday that wraps around the park at Square d'Anvers, about a two-minute walk from the apartment. It's an afternoon market beginning at 3:30 p.m. each Friday, so no
need to rise-and-shine early to get the best selection. Plan on a delicious evening meal at home that night! If you're traveling with kids, make good use of the park with a children's play area just down the street at Square d'Anvers. Parents can take a break on a bench and take in the view of Sacre Coeur while the kids work off
a little excess energy. And should you want to go to the much larger Jardin de Luxembourg across town, just pick up the 85 bus and it will take you right to it! The merri-go-rounds at Place des Abbesses and Sacre Coeur are also a hit with kids.
