Q: Who can list rental property?
A: Owners or those with written permission from Owners can rent, lease or sublet their property. Although we do not verify ownership with all owners, we may request all property-related information at any time to ensure that the guests enjoy a safe rental experience

Q: Can I rent out the place I live in now?
A: Sure! Many people rent out their residences and even do house swaps through our site. There is slightly more work involved in preparing you own house for use by someone else but the experience is always worth it! House Swaps are by far the most economical way of seeing the world!

Q: Why is RFTH better then any other site out there?
A: This answer might be a long one. First of all its all about the vision. Many of usare vacation property owners and we understand the hard work involved in running and managing a reputable vacation rental. We brought together a number of advanced and innovative tools on this site to make this experience as efficient and profitable as possible. Automation of many processes has long put hotels and larger operators in an advantageous position. Now vacation rental operators have the tool to market and manage their operations in a similar, intelligent way. Less work, more exposure and certainly more profit.

Q: Are there other sites owned by RFTH where we could get some exposure?
A: We strongly believe that advertisers operating multiple websites have only their profit in mind. By controlling the majority of the market, they can effectively increase listing prices without giving anything in return. Furthermore, multiple websites compete against each other, cost millions extra in operating costs thus reducing the value of advertising dollars. Not to mention the confusion brought into the marketplace where the search for a vacation rental becomes increasingly difficult. So the answer is no- we don't own multiple vacation sites. We do however own a similarly branded site dedicated exclusively to Olympic Games accommodation rentals - Rent For The Games.

Q: How can I sign up for Live Bookings?
A: We take several aspects into consideration. Some of them include good track record, BBB (or similar) accreditation. We also contact past guests and follow up on any reviews. We always conduct an interview with the owner and sometimes even visit the premises- especially if we decide to cover the property with our famous $10,000 Rental Guarantee. Unlike other sites, we tend to have a very personal relationship with our vacation rental owners. In summary, if an owner scores enough points on our qualification system, we enable their account for Live Bookings.

Q: How much is your basic listing? How does it compare to your competition?
A: We don't have listing levels on our site. Our clients receive the same powerful and limit-free features. Additional features such as Live Bookings are free to subscribe to. Our listing is $249 (or $199 if you sign up before June 1, 2010). Compare that to $329 HomeAway or $321 Holiday Lettings...

Q: How many properties can I list with you?
A: If you have 1-4 properties you can list them right from your Control Panel. Regular fees apply. Those with 5 or more properties are eligible for Property Manager's account where multiple listing discounts apply.

Q: Do you offer a guarantee that I will receive quality leads and bookings?
A: Yes. You can read more about our Accountability Policy here. In basic terms, we guarantee that you will receive at least 10 quality leads and at least 2 bookings during your first 12 months with us or your next renewal is free.

Q: What do you do to convince prospective clients to book with me?
